Country Wedding Weekend!

We had an awesome long weekend celebrating the marriage of one of my best and oldest friends, Meghan, and her husband Eric! The wedding was amazing! It was held at the Tazer Valley Farm up in Stanwood and had a fun country theme. All the decorations were so pretty, complete with burlap, mason jars, and an ice cream sundae bar! It was the perfect day (besides a little rain...). We had so much fun catching up with old friends, making new ones and celebrating Meghan and Eric! We also had a fun bachelorette day doing a little scavenger hunt around the city. Here's some pics from the weekend.

Congratulations, Meghan and Eric!!!

It's wedding season! Have you been to any awesome weddings lately?

Happy Anniversary, Mister

It's been 3 whole years since I married Zachary. Without getting too mushy gushy on you, time really does fly when you are having fun (and when you're with the one you love). I mentioned back here some of the things I love about my awesome Hubby, but most of all I'm just glad he is in my life. I feel so lucky every day to wake up next to him and his wild mane of hair (more on that later...). In the spirit of anniversaries, here's a look back at our wedding day... my most favorite day. Ever.

I Love You Mister. More and more every day.

Showers in Seattle (Pun Intended)

For my burfday the husband bought me a plane ticket home to Seattle! I played hookie from work on Friday and took off for the rain. One stop in Portland and 7 hours later (right?), I was in weather 50 degrees cooler than when I started. Kind of crazy.

Friday night we had a bachelorette party for my friend, Kristy. She didn't know I was coming, so it was a total surprise! Lots of drinks, laughs, and inappropriate jokes ensued. Saturday we spent prepping for the bridal shower, also for Kristy, and then I met up with one of my besties, Kim. We hung out in downtown Seattle, went down to Pike's Place to pick up some flowers for Mother's Day, and of course, talked about her wedding in August (so excited!). It was so good to see her! Then I got to meet up with my parents, my in-laws, and my sister-in-law for dinner downtown. They are awesome and I'm so lucky to have such a kick ass family!

Sunday was the shower (bridal and rain) and then I was on my way home (stop in San Fran this time). Yay for cheap flights. I had such a great jam-packed weekend and I'm so glad I got to see everyone! Only a few more months... and this will be the norm!

Yoda & Union Jack

I like to make note cards. It's just like scrapbooking but faster, and hopefully I can make some one's day a little bit better. Plus, I already have a ton of scrapbooking supplies, so it's a cheap way to keep in touch instead of paying $2-6 per birthday/ anniversary/ graduation/ whatever card. A few weeks ago, I had a couple reasons to make some note cards... First, the hubby's birthday. Then, the Royal Wedding/my friend's (belated) birthday. It was a busy week!

For the husband's card, I wanted to make something unique. I remembered I had my Star Wars cookie cutters (see more on those here) so I got a little creative! The husband loves Star Wars, so naturally it was an easy decision. I went with Yoda and chose some coordinating scrapbook paper.

And of course, Buster wanted to add his own personal signature... notice the bite marks.

Outside: Have a Happy Birthday...
Inside: You Will.
I know... I'm a total dork. :)

Since I missed my friend Amanda's birthday due to busy season, I decided to send her a much belated birthday card that just happened to coincide with the Royal Wedding (which she also loves). Perfect!

Supplies: card stock paper, scissors, stamps, stamp pad, double sided tape/stickies

Who's Excited?!?!

(source)

I am. I am extremely excited. I wasn't around for the last huge royal wedding (Charles & Diana), although I've seen replays a few times, so I'm pumped to see the royal wedding in real time tomorrow. And by real time, I mean 5 am 2 am(!). That's right, I will be dragging my tired butt out of bed super early and making myself a latte in order to watch the wedding of the decade. You see, we don't have DVR anymore (I'm totally rethinking that decision right now...) so I'm left to watch it live. Yes, I'm sure they will replay the wedding a million times, but I'm a) too lazy to try and figure out how that will fit into my schedule and b) I need to see it to be able to talk about it right when it happens! So there you go. I'm going to be extremely tired at work on Friday, but that's ok. You only live once, right? Anyways, here's some images I rounded up from around the web on the royal wedding...

I'm totally walking this route when we go to London in July! (source)

Wish I could throw a viewing party! (source)

So what are your plans? Getting up early to watch it like me? Don't care at all? Or are you a lucky one that has DVR and are throwing a fabulous viewing party? I'd love to hear! Happy Wedding!
