Three weeks later, I
finally got my second round of home try-on glasses from
Warby Parker (see my first round of try-ons
here). They must really be backed up over there - understandably, since they sell all their frames AND lenses for just $95 a pair.
After round one, I was a little disappointed with the glasses I had picked. I think I have a slightly wider face than a lot of their lenses, so with this round I ended up ordering more square/wider frames to fit my oval shaped face.
So here's round two... I need your help choosing, so please let me know which ones you like! (You can also vote on round one
here). I tried to include more angles to show how they will really look.

Ok, the last two are out already. Especially No. 10. Hello old lady from the 70's! Funky, but not quite my style. I'm definitely leaning towards No. 6 or 7, maybe No. 8 in a different color.
Meanwhile, I have these babies for another 5 days, and I'm thinking I might where No. 6 to work over my contacts to see how they feel on all day. Although, I did try that last time with
No. 1 and my boss told me I looked like Velma from Scooby Doo. I'm not sure if that was a good thing (thus, the second home try-on), but I feel like I have a keeper in round two somewhere. Please leave a comment and let me know which ones are your favorites!
Megan - you should try ordering glasses from coastal contacts. They are having a free glasses giveaway for various states every day - I noticed AZ is tomorrow. WA was just a couple of days ago, so I ordered - the glasses are out on the FedEX truck for delivery right now! I'll let you know how it turns out. I ordered the thinner lenses, so I think my total was $50-ish, but still really cheap!

Thanks for the tip, Nikki! I'll definitely be checking it out tonight!
ReplyDeleteThey just arrived, and I am super pleased. I tried them on - while wearing my contacts - so I can't be sure of the prescription until I check at home tonight. And, they are maybe a little blingy.....but for $50, I'm down! Will try to post pictures later - in all my spare time.
